Sam Swanell – Group Chief Executive Officer
Sam has held senior executive positions within the Australian betting industry for more than a dozen years. His experience includes successfully launching two leading Australian sportsbook start-ups, tomwaterhouse.com and PB. He has a deep understanding of the critical areas required to produce and manage a sportsbook that can succeed in a highly competitive gaming sector. Sam holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from Securities Institute of Australia.
Nick Fahey – Group Chief Commercial Officer
Nick is a Chartered Accountant by training, having started his journey with a Big 4 discipline at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. With 12 years accounting and finance experience, he oversaw PointsBets’ legal formation and structuring, initial seed funding, strategic and corporate partnerships, and working capital placement. Nick’s structuring of the business and ongoing financial stewardship continues to enable PointsBet to achieve optimal commercial results.
Johnny Aitken – US Chief Executive Officer
Johnny has over 15 years’ experience in the wagering industry and understands extensively operating within a highly regulated environment. Johnny joined Tom Waterhouse in 2010, Australia's biggest on-course bookmaker and led its VIP business arm, and managed the trading P&L. After the completion of the tomwaterhouse.com sale to William Hill, Johnny was appointed Head of Risk before rising to Trading Director in mid-2015. As a member of the William Hill executive team, he managed the Analytics, Publishing, and Customer Service departments with over 120 staff located in three operating locations. Johnny joined the PointsBet team as COO in early 2018, and post-PASPA was named CEO for the US.
Andrew Fahey – Chief Marketing Officer
Andrew has over 6 years’ experience in the Australian wagering industry and has been involved in the architecture and delivery of both Tomwaterhouse.com and William Hill’s marketing & media strategies. He has an extensive list of specialist skills that have played a substantial role in the development of the PointsBet brand, strategy, proposition, design and product range. He has been the primary driver behind the cutting edge front-end design of the PointsBet website and App to ensure PointsBet is a market leader in this space.
Andrew Mellor – Group Chief Financial Officer
Andrew joined PointsBet as Chief Strategy Officer in January 2019 with a strong background in finance and strategy. After completing a Bachelor of Commerce degree at Monash University - he started his career with BDO (Melbourne) as a Chartered Accountant with a move to London shortly thereafter seeing him work in the Risk Management division of Investment Bank, Credit Suisse. Andrew then had lengthy stints in the Credit Suisse Hong Kong and New York offices from 2001-04 where he was part of the Risk Management and Prime Services divisions. In 2004 Andrew joined Credit Suisse APAC Convertible Bond Trading and Sales businesses in London before being transferred to Hong Kong in 2006. Andrew spent the next 12 years in that team most recently as a Director and Head of APAC Credit Flow and Convertible Bond Trading. Andrew’s roles have required a deep understanding of and exposure to - financial instruments, financing and investing across capital structures and across Asia Pacific. Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge in global financial markets and is a member of the Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand.
Manjit Gombra Singh - President, Global Products and Technology
Manjit Gombra Singh provides strategic and execution direction for PointsBet global products and technology. A software engineer by training, Manjit has served for 20+ years as a senior software product executive with expertise in cloud computing, mobile commerce, mobile gaming, casino gaming, messaging platforms and systems management. He has worked for Silicon Valley start-ups as well as large companies. He is an expert in scaling software systems, running 24x7x365 e-commerce and gaming systems. Manjit is a published author and speaker on modern technology trends and has previously held senior leadership roles at Aristocrat Leisure Limited (CTO and EVP), IGT - International Gaming Technology (Executive Director), Juniper Networks (Senior Director) and Sun Microsystems (Director). In recent years, Manjit founded, DruvStar, a cybersecurity company, and has helped several gaming and modern technology businesses as an advisor. Manjit started out his career with a Master of Technology (Computer Science) from University of Hyderabad, India. He studied strategic leadership for technology and innovation at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional. Education and Cybersecurity are two personal passions for Manjit. He champions and supports mentorship programs for engineering students and cybersecurity training programs for IT professionals.
Andrew Hensher - Group General Counsel and Company Secretary
Andrew is an experienced executive who specialises in gaming and wagering, technology, strategy, corporate governance and regulatory risk and compliance. Prior to joining PointsBet, Andrew was Head of Legal and Regulatory Affairs at William Hill Australia, responsible for the overall legal, regulatory and compliance functions. Andrew also has extensive listed governance and corporate experience having spent almost six years at Aristocrat Leisure Limited as General Manager - Company Secretariat and Corporate Counsel, providing global corporate advisory support to all aspects of the business and was responsible for the overall management of Aristocrat Leisure’s Company Secretariat function. Andrew previously acted as Company Secretary of the Gaming Technologies Association (the peak representative body for Australian gaming machine technology suppliers) and was a former Director of the Australian Wagering Council (the then peak representative body for the Australian Online Wagering Industry). During his time in private practice, Andrew spent a year on secondment to the Takeovers Panel.
Seth Young – Chief Innovation Officer
Holding a successful track record of continuously being at the forefront of new online gaming technologies and strategies, Seth Young brings more than a decade of relevant experience to his role of Chief Innovation Officer at PointsBet. Prior to joining PointsBet, Young served as Executive Director of Online Gaming at Foxwoods Resort Casino, where he was responsible for the strategic development and oversight of Foxwoods’ existing and emerging interactive gaming initiatives. Prior to joining Foxwoods, Young served as the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Flower City Gaming LLC from 2013 to 2016, where he was responsible for the strategic development of Star Fantasy Leagues’ technologies, and oversight of all aspects of the company’s development. Young also ran his own consulting firm, SY Ventures LLC, from 2009 to 2012 where he offered clients in the iGaming vertical a full range of services, and served as the Director of Strategy for TexasHoldem.com from 2005 to 2009. Most recently, Young won the Innovation Group's 2018 Emerging Leaders of Gaming Award and was named to Global Gaming Business Magazine’s 40 Under 40 list in 2018. Young holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, with a double minor in Internet Studies and Legal Studies, from Brandeis University.
Tom Rundle - AU Chief Operating Officer
Tom Rundle has spent over 15 years in management at wagering and online gaming industries across Australia and in the UK. After leading the development of wagering software at Australian leading bookmakers Sportingbet and Sportsbet through the 2000s, Tom spent 4 years heading up the Operations Product Team in London for PokerStars, the world’s largest online Poker company. He returned to Australia in leadership roles across IT, Product and Operations at Tom Waterhouse and BetEasy/CrownBet, before setting up CrownBet’s Daily Fantasy subsidiary Draftstars. Tom joined PointsBet as COO in June 2018.
